Beginning piano lessons are offered via one-on-one instruction. Beginning lessons focus on music and instrument fundamentals, with a core objective being starting note reading from the staff. Private lessons are recommended for young students with unique learning styles or for the older beginner.
Prerequisite: None
Suggested Age Range: 4-16 (Older students also have the option of taking the “Beginning Piano, Mini-Group for Adults” program.)
The fun group format continues into the Early Intermediate level, where the primary goal is to secure note reading from the staff and to begin establishing a solid technique at the piano. Having the proper foundational technique frees the student to be able to tackle more advanced repertoire in the future. Additionally, the Early Intermediate level introduces more musicianship concepts with the introduction of musical collaboration through duets and small ensembles.
Prerequisite: Completion of Beginning Piano or By Instructor Permission

At the Intermediate level, student lessons are only offered via one-on-one instruction. At this level, students begin to explore different musical styles corresponding to the standard musical periods (Baroque, Classical, Romantic, and 20th Century) with masterworks written by celebrated composers. This level enhances dexterity and secures foundational techniques at the keyboard.
Prerequisite: Completion of Early Intermediate Piano or By Instructor Permission
At the Early Advanced level, students transition from study pieces to professional repertoire. Focus is placed on the beginning works of composers such as Scarlatti, Bach, Chopin, Beethoven, Mozart, and Haydn. The student will gain the skills necessary to move on to works by composers such as Liszt and Rachmaninoff.
Prerequisite: Completion of Intermediate Piano or By Instructor Permission
Advanced Piano studies focus on building out the comprehension of musical styles through the larger works of the piano repertoire. Technical capabilities are expanded to Olympic-level feats. Above all, musicality and a mature understanding of the works studied are valued and reinforced, so the student begins developing their artistic voice.
Prerequisite: Completion of Early Advanced Piano or By Instructor Permission
This program offering is geared for the student who intends to major in Music in college (focus in Performance, Education, Composition, Theory, or Other) with piano as their primary instrument. It is recommended to begin this program in a student’s junior year of high school. This program will continue advanced level piano studies in addition to mentoring and guiding students in selecting appropriate summer camps, assisting with video or audio recordings necessary for camp and collegiate auditions, connecting students with professors at major universities within the United States, and more.
This program offers the services of a Master Teacher, similar to what you would experience in a collegiate coaching or master class setting. This offering is geared for the pre-professional or professional pianist that desires to refine their craft. This program is open to students that may be studying regularly with another teacher.
Prerequisite: Must be enrolled in piano lessons at the collegiate level or have a minor/major in music with piano as a primary instrument
