This class is geared for the composer that seeks to improve their unique gifts through weekly study. The class seeks to inspire the composer’s imagination and build compositional knowledge and experience. It covers all aspects of musical composition, including motivic development, musical form, instrumentation/orchestration, and more. As works are completed, unique performance opportunities will be scheduled so that the works can be showcased within the broader community.
Prerequisite: Prior musical study, semi-proficiency in any instrument, and a working knowledge of the musical staff
