Michael Schneider brings music to life for young students by pairing performance with an illustrated storybook. This can be performed for groups as small as a single classroom or as large as a school auditorium.
Gershwin’s Rhapsody in Blue is a wonderful children’s storybook by Anna Harwell Celenza, which Michael reads to audiences of eager children while providing a soundtrack from the piano. This fun-filled adventure takes the listener through Gershwin’s search for inspiration as the deadline for writing Rhapsody in Blue fast approaches! There is a Q&A session at the end of the program and students receive activity worksheets to take as a memento and remind them of what they learned.

Piano lessons are offered in-person in Colleyville or North Richland Hills, a suburb of Fort Worth just west of the DFW airport. For students desiring lessons that are not local to DFW, remote Zoom lessons are available. The Master the Music Academy focuses on high-quality instruction for students of all ages. There is emphasis on note reading and the understanding of musical concepts, history, and styles. All teachers are members of the Local and State Music Teacher Associations. There are many events and performance opportunities throughout the year including our outdoor Fall Festival, our Holiday outreach and formal recital, our formal Spring Gala at the Lancaster Theater in Grapevine, and more. Advanced students have won competitions throughout Texas and have performed at Carnegie Hall.
